Arbitration
Switzerland is one of the world’s leading centres of international arbitration proceedings, be they in accordance with the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration, the ICC Rules of Arbitration, the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules or (for domestic arbitration cases) the Swiss Intercantonal Arbitration Convention.
Many courts of arbitration (including international ones) also have Zurich as their place of arbitration, where they will rule – frequently in English – on legal disputes between Swiss and/or foreign parties who often have no further connection to Switzerland than the corresponding arbitration provisions in their contractual agreements.
